Following a successful promotional drive and a range of tasting initiatives, with the assistance of Bord Bia, the Irish Nature Organic range has now been extended to 10 of YATA stores. Founded in 1990 the chain promotes itself as a modern Japanese lifestyle store offering customers a mix of quality international food and lifestyle products.
Commenting on the development, Mark Goodman, Managing Director of ABP International, said: “In our view, Hong Kong, a special administrative region of China is a key testing ground for premium Irish beef in Asia. The Hong Kong consumer is discerning and has the spending power to pay a high price for a quality product. Our hope is that direct access to China will come in 2018 and we aim to replicate our learnings in that much larger market should the opportunity arise.”
