A five day international conference in Cork this coming week will look at how science can offer the meat processing sector solutions to help it to develop and grow sustainably both locally and globally. It will also examine important themes on genomics, meat safety and consumer trends.

Hosted by Teagasc in collaboration with University College Cork, the 63rd International Congress of Meat Science and Technology is being sponsored by ABP Food Group.  The conference is being attended by 150 organisations from 65 countries. The speaker line-up will include contributions from Ireland, Britain, China, South Korea, Finland and Australia, Denmark and New Zealand, Norway and Germany.
