An exciting opportunity has arisen in our agricultural business for a position as a Calf Rearing Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Increasing the existing number of calf rearing units; • Managing existing calf rearing units and visit the farms on a regular basis; • Implement and monitor the progress of our calves and the key performance indicators for our farmers; • Record and update the systems on the tablet provided.   • To support the financial controller in ledgers such as the general ledger, Trade Receivable, Trade Payable ledgers and supporting records, to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • To support and ensure reconciliations are properly prepared and that all reconciling items are cleared within the agreed timescales and to provide any necessary analysis.
  • Participate (as directed) in the performance and on-going enhancements to the daily financial accounting control environment including the performance of specific designated reconciliations, preparation of manual accounting batches etc.
  • Ensure appropriate documented files are maintained and filed for later review by Auditor

Hygiene Manager

ABP Bandon is recruiting a Facilities Hygiene Manager for their busy beef processing plant.
Key Responsibilities: • Management of all hygiene facilities at ABP Bandon • Responsible for safe use of chemicals, with an emphasis on training, storage and usage • Management and development of site hygiene team (15-20 people) • Ensuring that the whole site is maintained to the highest standards at all times • Implementing the companies health and safety policy at all times, carry out risk assessments and develop method statements and monitor procedures • Ability to multi-task Requirements: • At least 2 years’ experience in a hygiene management or supervisory role within the food industry (though not necessarily in the beef sector). • Previous experience as a Hygiene Manager or Supervisor managing a team of 10+ people • Computer literate, good general communication skills and a good competency in regards to maintaining accurate and clear records • Ideally will have experience managing workforce planning and working to budgets

Project Engineer – Automation and Equipment

This position will report directly to the R&D Manager Key responsibilities and tasks:

  • Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
  • At all times the Project Procedure must be adhered to.
  • Provide technical assistance as required for all projects.
  • Co-ordinate technical and financial resources within agreed budget for each project.
  • Provide Project Design Drawings covering all disciplines of work required.
